INKORA

How Inkora AI Works

You write. Inkora helps. Every AI feature in Inkora is built around one rule: offer directions, explanations, and questions — never decide the story for you.

What context it uses

When the AI needs to know about your story — for Ask Inkora, the continuity checker, or Story Insights — it's given your character bible, relationships, locations, worldbuilding, objects, factions, world rules, character arcs, timeline, plot, your confirmed story notes, and excerpts from each chapter (the beginning and end of long chapters, not always the full middle, to keep things manageable). It is never given your entire manuscript as one block of text.

Canon vs Draft

Canon relationships and notes are treated as true. Draft ones are shown too, but in a clearly separate section the AI is explicitly told never to treat as fact — so trying out a speculative idea never risks it quietly becoming "true" in the AI's eyes.

What it can't know

Anything you haven't written down or logged. If a question's answer isn't in your story bible or manuscript, Ask Inkora says so directly rather than inventing a plausible-sounding answer.

Why it sometimes says "this isn't established"

This is deliberate, not a limitation to work around. A fabricated answer that sounds right is worse than an honest "I don't know" — it could quietly become something you believe is true about your own story when it isn't.

Asking better questions

Specific questions get specific answers — "When did Daniel and Sarah first meet?" works better than "Tell me about Daniel and Sarah." If an answer comes back thin, it usually means that detail genuinely isn't logged anywhere yet, which is itself useful to know.
