Both scans read your character bible, relationships, locations, worldbuilding, objects, factions, world rules, timeline, plot, and manuscript — then flag things worth a second look. Neither ever changes your manuscript.
Looks for contradictions: a character's appearance changing without explanation, timeline conflicts, impossible travel, a character appearing after being established as dead, an object in a place it shouldn't be, or a scene that seems to break one of your world rules.
Looks for unresolved threads instead — an object or mystery introduced early that hasn't come back, a plot thread marked "unresolved" that hasn't appeared in recent chapters, or a character's planned arc point that the manuscript doesn't seem to show yet.
Each finding can be marked intentional if it's not actually a problem — your call, always. Both scans are deliberately conservative: an open thread you meant to leave open, or something resolved off-page, isn't flagged.
